How to Replace Toner Cartridge




Before you start installing or replacing your ProDot toner cartridge you must take some precautions to avoid health hazards.
Do not touch inside body of the printer where cartridge is inserted. Do not place your hands directly into the printer while replacing the cartridge. Internal parts of the printers would be really hot. Do not touch electrodes if you do, you are damaging the printer, just be careful.
Below is the procedure described on how to replace ProDot toner cartridge.
First, open the front cover of the printer where your hand can reach to existing cartridge then slowly pull the drum unit and lift it up and remove it. You can pull it out just by holding lever on the left side of printer. Make sure you are holding the printer with other hand while removing the drum.
After removing the drum, place it on a piece of paper or smooth cloth to avoid spilling. If toner scatters on your hands wash it right away it is advised that you be careful let know toner gets into your hands or any other body part.
Dispose this toner cartridge as per local regulations. Dispose it off by keeping it in bag sealed. Now take out new toner cartridge from sealed pack. Do not let your new toner cartridge left unpacked for long time, toner life may shorten.
Buy original ProDot made replacement cartridge. If you Use Compatible toner cartridge of ProDot it will give extra life of your printer.
